Windsor Meadows 2nd Ward – Temple and Family History Opportunities

We would like to offer to you some ideas, suggestions, thoughts, and motivation to focus a little of your precious time on the great work of temple and family history work.  We would like to offer you some ideas each month that can either introduce you to areas of temple and family history or give you opportunities to delve deeper in this work.  We would also encourage you to begin writing a personal history this year for either yourself or another family member.  Please understand that we (Brother and Sister Carter) are available to work with you to facilitate your efforts in this work.

We encourage you to work on the option each month that best fits your interest.

March

Beginning Genealogy:    Create an LDS Account and access FamilySearch (familysearch.org)

Advanced Genealogy:    Create a fan chart with at least 4 generations.

Family/Youth:                  In FamilySearch select the tab “Activities” and select “Compare-a-Face”.

Optional:                          Personal History – Write about the circumstances of your birth.

 

There are videos on this website that show you how to login to FamilySearch.org, work with a fan chart, and how to get started on indexing.
